Red Belted Polycore (Fomitopsis pinicola).  ((Fomitopsis pinicola).)

Apparently with medicinal properties Used as tonic to reduce inflammation of digestive tract, increase resistance to cancers and used by the Cree indians to stop bleeding.
It has been living on this stump since we've moved in.
I started to call him "my friend."
