Wild lupinus (Lupinus arcticus (Arctic Lupin))

Lupinus arcticus, blooming in the mountains and along mountain roadsides. I didn't realize they were this early!

They are. I remember them from Idaho too, high in the mountains. I always remembered them blooming later in the year, but spring in the mountains of idaho is July sometimes.

Same here, grows wild all over the place. Most of them are purple though, with only some pink and white. No other fancy colors.

These are always this color, a pink very rarely. Interesting this is so widespread. I wonder if its wild across the pond.

lol, I haven't seen them pictured wild anywhere over seas. Just cultivated. I see my comment is a little strange too. Our wild lupins here are also always this blue. ?

lol...oh. I should have went with my first notion. :-) It was just 10pm. :-) I just saw some blue lupin in Nelkes pics in Germany, so very widespread......lol. (GOY occurs at all hours...lol)
