You have a blank canvas here..there are so many things you could do...I love curved borders, filled with favourites..plant shrubs and evergreens first to give structure and all-year interest...then perennials, bulbs and summer bedding of your choice....oh...lovely Cas...

Yes good advice. Also start saving all your peelings, egg shells etc and start a compost bin going (you may have already started one). When it has all rotted down dig it into your borders, fill your tubs, window boxes with it etc. I even mix it with some garden soil to start off my seeds. I go around my friends, family etc and say 'hello you have a nice garden' (gets them in a good mood) and then we swap plants ( or I scrounge) and/or take cuttings etc or whatever else to build up your garden collection. You both gain then in friendship, sharing and have a good old laugh together talking about slugs and snails, the weather, mildew on your courgettes, and you all end up with a good variety of things in your garden to look at (without paying too much for them!!)
