I thought this pic could give you an idea of how icy it is outside.
It is very dangerous out there now. All the ice is starting to melt as temps rise and a lot of ice is falling from the wires and trees.

Oh my - this reminds me of the ice storm we had in 1998 in Montreal. We lost so many trees, power lines... We were without power for over 2 weeks, no heat, no light, no water... not fun. I hope this doesn't last too long for you.

OMG, Elke..What we are experiencing here today is NOTHING like you guys endured back in 1998!!!
I hope to never have to deal with that.
Have you any pictures from that time? If so, you should post some.

We are so lucky down here in the southeast of the UK, we rarely have really bad weather and nothing like you poor suffering people.
I hope it all clears up for you soon and you have lots of lovely sunshine.

it is dangerous ~a while ago ice was falling from one of our local bridges~a fairly wide river bridge with tall towers~they had to close it for a while as it was smashing into cars passing underneath the towers~how scary is that!
