The painted shed

The painted shed

Although I wanted it kept 'naked', I quite like this colour - Cuprinol Harvest Gold.

It's great when you move in and everything is totally spruce and new and a blank canvas! This photo just reminds me of ours when we had just moved in! In some ways I hated digging out the borders, it was so pristine when it was just green grass!

I'd say the 'blank canvas' is a bit daunting!!
I'm dreading digging out the borders as I know the soil is really heavy and clay-like (hhmm wonder why the farmer sold it for houses??) so it's going to be a nightmare to prepare.
We want to lay blocks all round the grass too, to act as a mow strip - I hate edging every year, so that should put an end to that. But my poor OH will have a fair job on his hand laying it.
Time has just ran away with us since we moved in in March, so hopefully we'll get more time to do stuff next Spring - and more funds to do it with :)
Rome wasn't built in a day I guess ... or Eden :)

No, it wasn't Donna...keep on digging, you'll achieve amazing things a bit at a time!

Can I ask where you got your shed as I am finding it hard to get one delivered to Aberdeenshire - would ideally like it built for me too :)

have you tried this firm Laura?
http://www.highlandtimberbuildings.co.uk/ I don't know if they can help, but looks like it might be worth a try. We got ours (I am in Carnoustie) from a business just outside Kirriemuir...I don't know if they would deliver to you...let me see if I can find the name for you....I think it was this one....Stewart A & Son

Anyway, welcome to GoY! :)

Laura, it came from BS joinery in Inverurie http://www.dogkennels.co.uk/ it was about £1000, but it's a 8x10ft workshop rather than 'just' a shed :), erection was included in the price.....
