its lulu that you need to ask ~ she will tell you what to do ~ she has all the things so well organised ~ made me think i had better sort out my stuff!!!
i definitely want to do another!!! i think its very therapeutic.

thanks TT ~ it was a boring paving slab before!!

Im sure you could do this Scottish!

Rose if you can do art you could do this ~ lulu's mosaics are beautiful cos she can do art ~ she can see the shapes, you have to use a bit of imagination for mine!! No patience needed, really enjoyable to do.

31 Aug, 2011

Now looking forward to your next creation, that long slab!!

31 Aug, 2011

31 Aug, 2011

Perhaps Lulu could do a blog on how to create this lovely work of art...then we could all 'have a go'.......PLEASE!!!!

31 Aug, 2011

I keep meaning to take pics of the process but I get lost in the process and forget!!

31 Aug, 2011

blog is half done but only one picture to start then its finished ~ lulu can you explain what are the things you need ~ the right glue and the grout?
we needed tet to take lots of photos!!!

31 Aug, 2011

Lovely! Good teacher you got there too :)

31 Aug, 2011

You are very talented! Love it....

31 Aug, 2011

great teacher ~ thanks pixi
and thank you sunburychick ~ its lulu thats talented.

31 Aug, 2011

You need, waterproof glue PVP and grout, the finer the better in grey or white if that suits best. Glass or stone, of course! half inch ply wood or slate or stone as the canvass. Glass nippers, or box to smash the glass in!
Will elaborate when it's not 4am!!

1 Sep, 2011

oh lulu!!!
i hope you have gone to have a sleep now!!!

1 Sep, 2011

Thank you!!!....:>)

1 Sep, 2011

Thank you, I slept reasonably well last night!! And it's lovely and warm in the garden studio!

2 Sep, 2011

you sleeping in the studio ~ or sunbathing in there?

2 Sep, 2011

I is working!!

2 Sep, 2011

Oh, I see what you mean!!!
I slept well last night and today...in the warm, very, studio!!

2 Sep, 2011

glad you slept well!
i had a bad dream about big waves that i had to sail through on a little boat ~ i blame meanie!!!

2 Sep, 2011

I used to dream alot about tsunamis, and I can't even blame Meanie!

2 Sep, 2011

i can ~ he was describing sea travel in graphic detail last night!!!

tsunamis would be horrendous.

2 Sep, 2011

I dreamt about them so much that in the end I would dive straight in, well I might as well!!

3 Sep, 2011

You swam out and into a picturesque cottage!

3 Sep, 2011

I did indeed!

3 Sep, 2011

:-)

3 Sep, 2011

Sticky, that looks beautiful. I think you should do a few more around your garden to make even more of a feature. I thought about making a false archway on a piece of plywood - wood it work??

3 Sep, 2011

i really like archways but OH doesnt seem so keen. if the plywood will stand up to the winter it could work well ~ and mosaic on the plywood?? lulu would be the one to ask.
im tempted to do a couple for some dark corners if they could even catch a little light ~ thanks poppylover.

3 Sep, 2011

I think plywood, even marine would eventually rot. I always use something waterproof like granit,, slate, marble or mirror for outside mosaics.

3 Sep, 2011

looks lovely! :-)

3 Sep, 2011

Drc726 has titilated my creative side. I asked how to brighten up a new boundary fence or how to make it less obtrusive. We are talking secret gardens - Just thought how lovely a shell arch might look ??? Or pebbles, bits of wood. I dont really mind if it doesnt last forever, I like things that look old - and Ive got a garage full of junk!! lol

3 Sep, 2011

Shells would be lovely.

3 Sep, 2011

Yes I think so too sticki, but I'm going to put it on the back burner for now. I have too many half finished projects and the OH will get annoyed if I don't finish some of them. Lovely to be inspired though!

6 Sep, 2011

I have to hide my 'ideas for projects' if OH knew how many bits i have hidden away ~ to do one day? ~ he would not be pleased!!!

6 Sep, 2011

Well done Stickit it looks fantastic and reallyenhances your raised water feature, looks simply great!

20 Sep, 2011

oh, thank you PP ~ its thanks to Lulu!
