This is a horn worm which was being sold as lizard treats! I bought one and brought it home. As the tomato and tobacco worm looks almost identical I picked some leaves of tomato and tobacco and offered him a snack...he ate the nicotiana leaves...took him outdoors and released him in the nicotiana bed...will look for hummingbird moths...if he survives.
