butterfly bush - barely visible roots

They are amazing when they're just forming Hmhb.....those little lumps of white...then they form the roots....I have Spider plant babies just rooting at the moment...:o)

Oh wow! I have a butterfly bush growing in my backyard that is about 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide, growing in a mix of native soil and organic amendments. It was one of the first shrubs that I planted in the backyard and really puts on quite a show in the summer! The humming birds just love it!

It is the plant in the background that is halfway between the redbud tree and the bird-bath. It has done amazingly well this year! :-)
