It surely is Tasteyg and Lori - I admit I'm rather chuffed when people walk by and take photos and make appreciative comments - and to think it all happened on its own ...

Yes! that is exactly what I love most about gardening...that there are some plants who chose to show up in our gardens ...either by our invitation or by happenstance...and steal the show. I didn't plant my crabapple.. it grew from a squirrels cache, I think, but it is a treasure...in blossom at present and smells wonderful...and the petals are like confetti when they set fruit...and the apples are large (for crabapples), meaty and a gorgeous deep red. Just a wonderful specimen...like your campanula!

Ah ! I can picture the pretty confetti fluttering the wind .....My neighbour Ottavia makes the most wonderful crab apple jam - mind you Lori, she makes the "most wonderful" anything !!
