Lets help our bumble bees.

Lets help our bumble bees.

Sadly they are becoming rarer and rarer. Apparently it is due to intense farming and building taking away the wild flowers that they need to feed on and use as a natural corridor to move around. But we gardeners can help by all accounts. If we all plant a small patch of wild flower seeds each year in our gardens it will enable them to move around easier. Thus allowing them to get to the plants they need. So lets all do our bit for our little bumble bee. after all we need him as much as he needs us.

The same is happening over here in Canada Tref. The bees are quickly decreasing in numbers...not just the bumble bees but the solitary bees too. Some sites which may be of interest.....
