You know I still can't work out if I got the back or the front view lol...
This year is the biggest blooms Karen, and the best colour so far...
They are lovely little creatures, always so busy.... :))

By the way...behind is the base for the new Bungalow...and it's really interesting to watch the guys working...its resting now for the concrete to go off, a month I think they have to wait... The young couple who are having it built, they visit, and walk around their new home, obviously planning etc...Once the work starts again, I don't think it will be a long job...can't wait to see it up...

Oh, Sue...it seems very close by...are they nice, the couple?...they can put these demeures up in a matter of weeks...and is that an old grenier in the background?...it looks quite nice...

The last one built across the way, took about 9 months... Yes it is close, but they have had to draw the plans so that we are not overlooked...You know the Mayor has the final say in his Village/Commune...
Their views will be down the field, from their Lounge, and patio..and to the front it faces the road...A well planned build, with a Mezanine..the garage wall will face our back fence...that's ok...I've lived in an isolated House, with no neighbours and I hated it...especially if you don't enjoy good health, it can become a prison...We are still in the same Village, but part of a community now, instead of being cut of from it....The House in the background was built and owned by the local roofer...he did a lot of work for us, when we were renovating...Typical French built over a Cave...nice house...Did you spot his lovely Trees...A Tamarisk tree in full flow...Just a short walk down the road there's some nice old Tuffeau Stone Houses...

You are right, Sue, it's good to be part of the community...and without young people moving in, these little communes are in real danger. The commune we left, last year, had only 65 people and the average age was 65 years...and that was before we went...

...The village tried to make me President of the Comitee des Fetes, and when I protested saying that my French wasn't nearly good enough, they unanimously voted me Secretaire!!! lol! Then I had to write French too! lol! And it was mostly because I was the only person in the village who was significantly under retirement age! lol!

...I do miss living there...and having the closeness of those neighbours...
