What is your soil pH?

We dug out a big hole before planting it and filled it with ericaceous compost which hopefully will be good. Never thought to test the soil!

No need! the ericaceous compost is acidic is it not? That's what I was referring to... they like acid soil. They grow wild where I come from. The berries aren't as large as the cultivated ones but they sure are sweet!
Blueberry Pie with vanilla icecream...mmmmmmm.

Several members are trying blueberry-growing this year, Ickle. Type "blueberry" in the search box and look at all the info. I have 2, both in containers. The older one is full of buds now. I always water with rainwater (no shortage of that) as suggested, possibly because it is more acidic than tapwater? Good Luck with yours!
