They will do it too..real troupers !

They are worth every penny aren't they......we see them most of the autumn, then a couple of quiet months mid-winter, then off they go again till early summer...they are troupers Jane!

Beautiful colour. We haven't got ours in yet.

`They will be fine Janey, as long as they are given lots of TLC to begin with tough little plants...looks like you are going to have a colourful Winter, in dark & dreary days to come.... : ~ ))

It's a great colour isn't it....where I work they had huge stone troughs of dark blue and yellow pansies all winter...they really were a picture......
I'm sure they will Amy and it's still early isn't it....where I've put these it was an empty wall cone, I hadn't filled for summer. The thing is you don't want to empty your baskets and planters yet do you?
Plenty of time yet Tog isn't there.......I think the secret of planters is you need both summer and winter ones. I don't want to take my geraniums out, yet I need to put miniature daffs in ??????

Thinks we must have submitted together Sheila! Thanks for your lovely comment....how have you been today? Its been torrential rain here so to be in the warm is a joy...you haven't missed anything today....:o( We all hate the winter, now its changed into damp cold and grey....yuk! It's strange how you remember it different when you were young...cold and bright, sunny and frosty, lots of snow round Xmas......and then new year and suddenly you seemed to be in spring again???

Nice photo, Janey. I bought a couple of boxes from Tesco while my wife was in Spain. There are 20 in each box & only cost £3 each. I planted up one boxful, you can see them if you go to my pictures & look for the latest photo of my balcony. I bought another 2 boxes on Saturday!

That's really good value for money. The plants look lovely strong and healthy.

Yes well worth it Balcony, your pics look great and they will see you all the way through winter....lets hope this year it's a mild one....:o) During the summer we bought 2 hanging baskets on sale at our local Tesco for £2.50 each full of bizzy lizzies and they have flowered all summer and still there are flowers.

Tesco's is on the cards to come to Belper in the future but it's still 'talking' at the moment.

They are a good firm Linda I spent 11 happy years working for them, it's just a pity their stores are so large and the car parking and petrol stations take up such a large area, and of course the traffic flow to and from can be horrendous! Saying that though they do landscape their sites we have a large one in Scunthorpe, but a much smaller store at Brigg which is nearby and that is the one I use......

They will be making a road that runs along the back because Belper is an old town and the road through is very small.

I've now planted up all three of the white flower containers on my balcony. :-)) I haven't yet had the opportunity to take a final photo of them as the last couple of days have been very overcast, in fact toady we haven't even had a glimpse of the blue sky at all! Tomorrow that is supposed to change & we can expect long periods of sun. I will see if I can get a photo then. Once I have a photo I'll upload it to my pictures.

Sounds as though you have been busy. Yes the weather has been overcast and wet and the dys that the weatherforecasters have said that it was going to be warmer and sunny, just haven't happened.
