Tacca chantrieri
Genus: Tacca.
Species: Tacca chantrieri.
Bought this plant & it has steadily deteriorated. Thought I had it well placed in warm, lightish (but not direct) location & ensured the soil was mostly wet, but not in standing water (Put 3cm of gravel in base of pot, which stands in a saucer). The 2 magnificent blackish flowers that it had when I bought it have gone & the promising looking young shoots have now stalled. Have just read that I should water into the area where the grooved stalks collect so I'll do this from now on.
Any tips anyone has would be gratefully received!
