The well-known daisy flowers of late summer and autumn need a moisture retentive soil in the growing season (to prevent mildew) but good drainage over winter (so they don't rot). A sunny position too although a few will tolerate part shade. I also like to have seveal varieties grouped together to give a good splash of colour late in the season
