Polystichum Polyblepharum(japanese tassel fern)
Genus: Polystichum.
Species: Polystichum polyblepharum.
Choice fern having interest at most stages of the year, emerging croziers are covered in scales, and as they develop the tips fold backwards to make the 'tassels' of the tassel fern, as the fronds age they turn a glossy deep green and are beautifully presented in a slightly curved rosette, 90cm tall by 60cm wide, deep rich moist soil.
Bought from Harrogate Spring Show 2014, planted in wood on corner as you turn to new tree stump seat.
