Virgin's Bower is a native perennial found in shade along edges of woods. It is also called "Old Man's Beard". This plant is a close relative of the garden Clematis. The seed head has curvy, hair-like white projections, giving the plant the appearance of an old man's beard. This plant can be grown from seed.
