Stinging nettle
Genus: Urtica.
Species: Urtica dioica.
I have been at war with nettles since I moved into this garden, nearly 10 years ago. They just won't go away!!! I've lost count of nettle rashes and have had some in interesting places, let me tell you. This year, I seem to have reached an accord, whereby I let one cheeky chappy stay put in the rock bed as a source for butterflies and caterpillars so long as he minds his manners and tells his friends to stay away.
