Fern, Northern Adder's Tongue
Species: Ophioglossum pusillum.
I found a small patch of this fern growing under one of my hostas in the woodland garden. It doesn't look at all like a fern with one oval sterile frond and a single fertile frond. It likes acidic, seasonably wet soil. Another great surprise in the garden.
