Genus: Centaurea.
Species: Centaurea montana.
Deep blue, reddish centred, star-shaped flowers above mounds of narrow, greyish foliage. Cottage garden favourite. 50 x60cm. Flowers late spring to early summer. Needs no attention except to be lited and divided if it gets too big in a few years time.
