Goringfolly's Garden

'Doris' Pink

Genus: Dianthus.

Species: Dianthus.

I grow this mainly for cutting. I think this prolongs the flowering and this pink has the most wonderful scent. I take pipings in the summer each year as the plants go ragged after 3/4 years. I have a deeper pink variety and an almost crimson one. Try to put it in the sunniest position at the front of the border. No special soil conditions but did well in my father's garden on chalk. Such a good variety that it is the only one I bother with now.
