Bamboo
Genus: Phyllostachys.
Species: Phyllostachys aurea.
This is the bamboo in the shade garden, and the other two are at the back of the right lawn and one behind the greenhouse. They are no bother at all. They form neat clumps, unlike some bamboos that send up runners all over the place. They do get a bit battered by March, but always recover, and look good all year around. You will need to water in very dry spells...with a hose!
