Species: Anemone blanda.
Purchased at Home Depot October 2007 and planted in front area near the mailbox. These are perennials that prefer light shade and blooms in a profusion of colors from white to dark blue. Water regular but do not overwater. Collect seedhead pod when flowers fade, allow to dry. Allow pods to dry on plant; break open to collect seeds. Remove fleshy coating on seeds before storing. Wear gloves to protect hands when handling seeds. Seed does not store well; sow as soon as possible.
