For years I kept pulling up a this persistant weed. Then this spring I decided to let 2 grow and see what they became. I am so glad I did as I now have 2 lovely Eupaturium Cannabinum – medium height bushy with pink lacey flowers all summer I am so proud of their persistance that I will nature them from now on (but still weedout any more). The nursery I visited last Thursday had them on sale for £4.99 each!

Also a lavender that self seeded a few years ago had not chosen a good spot but again as it persisted in its struggle I moved it this year to a planter and it has flowered all summer the more I cut off the more it flowers it looks like the lavender out the front but they only flowers till July.

Sounds like the kind of weed I'd be happy with, instead of my very persistent horsetail grass!

Hi, Drc would you like to swap some for my perennial weed celandine!!!! I must tackle it this spring:-( I do though have lots of lovely self setters, Linaria purpurea, malva moschata, field poppy, snapdragon, purple fennel and my most beloved welsh poppy, mecanopsis cambrica:-) Flowers can give us such nice surprises, your eupatorium sounds lovely so I'll google it and maybe give it a try.:-)

I too love poppies and my husband marvels at them when they flower so I will look out for the yellow one.
While Celadine looks pretty I gather it is almost impossible to remove?

Any time you want seeds let me know (mecanopsis cambrica) just scatter where you want them, they flower for months:-)
