Continuation of the garden re-design, first pic shows filter and pump housing in background (only installed for about 1 year then changed my mind…Again!)
In front is a trench which is now concrete lined, all pipework to and from pond will go in here then a boarded walkway over so future access will be easy.
Slabbed area in corner will have my small shed that I re-built about 2 years ago and put on the patio. This will house more filter systems and all the return pipes to the pond, and other pond stuff.
Pump and pipework disconnected …this will go in a brick built pit underground, the pump will be under the surface level of the pond and will stop airlocking in the pump which stops the water from being pumped, that is why I am moving it.

Another filter box that will be fitted at the waterfall, got this for a bargain on ebay.

Working out the position of the waterfall filter box which will go along side the pump in the pit.

Pit almost built, pump and pipework from pond fitted.

The mess I made from dismantling the waterfall again and digging out the pit and trench.
Loads more soil to get rid of…put on freecycle and all was taken.

I will try to get the next part of the re-design on here in the next few days, where most of the work is completed.

Hi all, thank you for your nice comments.
Yes Grandmage,Freecycle is brilliant.Part 14 is now on here.
Paul,a lot of it is trial and error, that is why I keep changing it,but now I am pretty happy with the final result.
I never thought I would get into gardening but I really do enjoy it now.I am an electrician by trade and have learned other skills like plumbing, building, woodwork and most other diy skills, generally there is not much I would not have a go at but would research it first. The rewards of my efforts are shown in part 14 now posted.
Steragram, you can now visualize it as it is now posted as part 14. What spare time?
OK. my hobbies are keeping tropical fish,I have 4 aquariums, art and craft, playing guitar, music, repairing and doing things up, computers, research and cooking.
The last one is more a neccesity but I enjoy it.Oh and of course gardening! With any other spare time I am my mums main carer so go to do jobs for her,if not for her I am doing work for someone else.Sometimes I don't know where I find the time as I am in full time work doing 12 hr days and night shifts as an electrician/process operater in a paper re-cycling factory.
Still, keeps me busy.
