Good luck. Both gardens and the side of the house look amazing!

It may be small but you have designed it well and managed to pack a lot in. The front garden is lovely, beautiful hanging baskets and a good selection of very healthy plants, I like the slate obelisk too. The side garden with the lovely selection of plants and the 'to die for' Datura must be a winner, also the 'picture frame' to break up the long wall is a great idea with the plants peeping over the top of the wall.

Lots of lovely plants in the back garden too and you've even managed to squeeze in a pretty pond.

Very good. I didnt enter a Garden Competition again because they started this 'rolling drums' lark.
We were not told our marks or the result.
Had to attend the council offices one dismal night in November. Then the 3rd prizewinner was announced -
with long gap to give everyone stomach ulcers -
then the 2nd ditto, and the 1st.
Taunting them with the prizewinning cheques.

I said they shouldnt treat gardeners like that.
Refused to take part again unless this maniac behaviour was changed.
You have worked hard to get such a lovely display Derek.
I hope Milton Keynes Council have the courtesy to acknowledge this by sending you a letter stating your
result. Then invite you to the prize giving.

Well I think it looks wonderful. The planting is fabulous but perhaps the sculpture is a bit too much. I am amazed how much you have managed to do in a small area. Good luck ...you deserve success.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments, I am pleased to say we won 2nd place for best small front garden and 1st place for housing association. we are lucky with the Milton Keynes garden competition we do get notified the results in advance of the presentation in Aug, but have to wait until September for the presentation itself. Last year (2013) we won best small front garden, best small back garden, housing association and best in show as well. Happy gardening everyone :)

Well done! . . and richly deserved. I particularly like the planting and design of the front garden . . really making the most of a small space. :)
