Cristina....your garden and plants are absolutely beautiful.....over here we have finally got some rain..... the grass and plants are looking very happy... as for me I've started a very big job.... now with the rain..... I am in and out, I have decided to trim a hedge of 170 feet in length and more than 8 feet high...ouch my neck..., but I shall take my time with it.... it looks like an endless task. But will get there in the end :)))

I really like your collages of flowers, Cristina! I remember some months ago I did a collage of autumn trees with the red leaves. I'll have to have a go again. I must have missed this blog of yours but now I'm very glad I found it.

Was going to do a collage a couple of days ago but when I went to make a start Picasa froze on me & I had to terminate the programme. :-(

10 Sep, 2010

o no balcony. hope you will try again hun x

10 Sep, 2010

As I may have some extra time on my hands during the next couple of weeks (wife's going away!) I'll give it a go once again & see what we end up with!

12 Sep, 2010

Balcony think that happened to me when I used Picasa, then our computer collapsed due to something or other !! Now cannot find any photos at all `-0((

14 Sep, 2010

Picasa doesn't change the location of your photos - it just makes a note of its location - usually the folder "My Pictures".

If you use Picasa to make any changes, like putting captions or dates on photos like I do, you should click on the FILE menu at the top of the page when you have finished making any changes & click on SAVE. That way Picasa will create a new folder where it will save your original photo without the changes you may have made while you will see the photo with any changes you made when you open the "My Pictures" folder.

Picasa will not remove the pictures from your computer nor will it save them anywhere else - unless you have instructed it to before hand. You can't even delete them by accident as a warning asking you if you are sure you want to do that appers before a photo is removed. You even have two options when you want to delete anything; one asks if you want to remove it from Picasa only, the other asks you if you want to delete it from your hard drive. Even if you select the 2nd option it is deleted to the Recyle Bin where it will remain till you either delete it from there, when you will lose it forever, or until the Bin is so full that it deletes the oldest files to make way for the newest.

thort urs had collasped as well balconey

18 Sep, 2010

Mine's perfectly OK. I use it almost daily to put titles on my photos & to change the lighting.

18 Sep, 2010

thats gud then ,just futher up u said u had to terminate the program as it froze on you . glad u fixed it , i use piccasa all the time as well. its brill isent it. i find i dont have to save as it just does it any way. all my collarages put them selves in to a file . and my pics stay were they are in there own file .so they are easy to find. u shud get some of yours up . lets have a look . ;0P

19 Sep, 2010

It does occasionally "freeze" on me. When that happens I have to open Task Manager & "kill" it in the process tab. Then I go back, open it again & everything seems to be OK.

Yesterday while I was using it it seemed to be going very slow so, after a particularly slow moment, I closed the programme, normally, not using Task Manager, then I opened it again & it "whizzed" along!

19 Sep, 2010

I learn something new on here everyday thanks Christina and Balcony, never used Picasa but now have to give it a try.
Your garden is fabulous Christina !

19 Sep, 2010

thanks val. and you must try it its gud fun

21 Sep, 2010

Valadel, Picasa is quite good as you can do quite a few things with it. I use it just to put titles on my photos & to darken/lighten the photos. Today I've been using for those things & also to "crop" (reduce the size of the photo, remove something you don't want in it, etc.)

I've been using it for several years now. I once used it to make a couple of collages as well. In fact I posted one on here of Autumn Colours.

You can use it to upload your photos to the internet, you get 1GB of free space, give your friends/family the album address. You can use it to send photos in emails, I'm not sure but you may need a Google account to do that. I'm not sure if it works with Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.
