Phew! I'm worn out.......

Hi goy’ers! I finally managed to do some gardening today, off and on thro’ the day! Thought you might like to see some photo’s of how it’s getting on…..

Planted 5 foxgloves, 3 elephant ears, 2 hydrangea’s and 1 pyracanthia.

Also planted in a pot 6 petit pois pea plugs I got from ebay and 3 mint plugs in another pot to plant round my rose bush that I’m getting free from the hubby’s sunday newspaper!

Only trouble was, discovered some very annoying bindweed has still managed to come thro’, despite heavily weeding it out last autumn. Will have to get the spade and fork out tomoz, sigh……

Included photo’s of Alfie, the rabbit, coz he’s soooo cute…….

After planting….. (not yet finished moving the soil!)

The fronds on a fern given to me by a kind neighbour….

“uh oh! What’s she doing with that camera?”

“Quick, hide!”

“Blast, she got me! I’ll just ignore her…..”

Big apple tree in blossom…….

Little apple tree in blossom….

Close up of blossom on little apple tree…

He's a lovely rabbit and the apple tree is fab in blossom. Hope you get lots of lovely apples. I had four apple trees in my other garden and shared them with the neighbours because we couldn't eat them all ourselves, even when we stored some for the winter in the garage in a wired cupboard to stop the mice eating them. If storing I stored them on a sheet on paper stalk up as they would be on the tree, spaced away from each other so that if one goes off it doesn't contaminate the rest. Just a bit of advice.

Thanks Linda! Yes, we're hoping to get lots of apples from that tree this year. It's not been well but this year hopefully it's fully recovered!

You were busy! I hate bindweed - I've been battling with it this week, too. Dreadful weed. :-(

Good luck with finding your new little bunny and guinea pig Donnah. Don't forget to have the bunny inocculated against Mixematosis at a certain age. Your vet will let you know if you ask. Handle them a lot and they will get used to being picked up.
