Hi Chris, love your rockery, that has given me another idea...and I know where it will go... I now have got to go and pinch some stones..hihi, I know where there are some laying around on an old building site...I will have to go with car out after dark...hihi.

Thank you Sheilar, not a patch on some I have seen on here though.
But I don't care, I built it, moved plants round endless times untill they looked right to me and can see it in my mind next year when it is established.
Rogi, the stones came from a 500 year old estate wall which someone drove a car through.
I passed it every day for nearly a year before deciding to tidy them up and recycle some of them.

Rogi - mind you don't get caught LOOTING!! lol. We do not want to be identifying your mugshot on crimestoppers. lol.

The thing is Rogi, your own garden is like your own home in that it's your own personal space and I think, like your home, you should have things in it that you want there. It looks great to me:)

It is lovely. And as Sheilar says it is your own.

Sorry, my earlier comment was meant for Chris and I addressed it to Rogi. (had a hard day at work - well that's my excuse! lol)

I agree with Sheila, its your creation done with your own fair hands, I know from my own experience how elated that feeling is to see the plants thriving, I still change mine around on a regular basis as the plants get bigger or I find a new one that has to fit in somewhere.
If only I knew of a wall that needed recycling, I`d willingly clear up for whoever owned it and I would do it for nothing, lol....

That's the only way to garden, Chris! Just you organise it to suit you and your circumstances, and you can't do any better than that! It looks great to me, you have a lovely eye for a plant, and there are some beauties there! Oh! And above all...have lots of fun!

Thank you all for your kind comments.

I have a couple more little plants to get then I can sit back and let everything settle down.

It has been really hard work digging it out, putting down the hardcore etc. but I have enjoyed it.

The best comment I have had was from my 2 grown up sons......quote " It looks OK"

Just need to get that monster of a tree cut down then I can get on planning the rest of the garden over winter ready for next spring.

It looks lovely Chris. It's all yours and as long as you enjoyed doing it and can continue to enjoy it, that's the main thing.
