Weather in west of scotland

rushed out between (heavy) showers today to deadhead the roses. Should have used secateurs, but didn’t. First rose I tweaked between finger and thumb had something lurking in it and i got a nasty sting! Finger has doubled in size! It’s pouring with rain………again! What a summer!!!

Took an antihistamine just after being stung, and then another before bed - slept like a baby! Finger fine now - thanks all.

glad to hear that! i have had to resort to the tablets sometimes when i have been watering the garden in the evening and something bites me ~ dont know what but it ends up as a big bite that takes days to go. anthisan cream is also useful i found.

nasty aren't they!!
i remember that line from 'Les Miserables' ~ 'a flea could bite the bottom of the pope in Rome!' ~ so the smallest things can have great effect!!!
