I've given up on the prepared bulbs now but always found the blue did far better than the other colours. I assumed it was because naturally they are blue and the reds and pinks are cultivars but I could well be wrong.

They have such a gorgeous smell don't they clarice? Its good that they are coming out at different times really, they'll last longer that way, or it will seem so.
Last year one of my daughters had a big bunch of blue ones sent to me from M & S, in one of those tough plastic things with water in. They looked really lovely but had no scent at all. I've heard that some commercial growers now breed the scent out of them to make them last longer. Their fragrance is the main thing about them surely.

I love them Carole and always put the bulbs out in the garden when they have finished flowering and have died down , we have quite a few in the garden in the spring .....

Think they look nice in the garden Amy, hope my red one flowers though.....

It will just be patient. Then you will have the joy of watching the red one flower once the blue one is over.

I love the flower and the scent. but prefer the flowers when popped in the garden for the following year and the flower is less blousy.
