Bath & West Garden Show

Hi everybody. Yesterday I visited the Bath & West Garden Show. It was a beautiful hot day, couldnt have been better really. The National Dahlia Show is held here, and most of my photos were of the dahlias. Also one of the most popular plants on sale was the Heucheras. What a tremendous selection. So difficult to choose, but as I have a large collection already I had to be content with just one. I chose Caramel, as I have so many dark ones and want to have something to show them up. Also with a holiday on the horizon I wanted to save some cash for then. I did buy a penisetum Rubra grass, and another clematis that I have been looking for for a while, Ville del Lyon. I will now show you some of the dahlias etc, but a confession – I didnt get the names. Sorry….
I think I had better do this in two parts, so this is No.1.

They are absolutely gorgeous Cinders, the people put a lot of work into preparing them for all these shows, I`m afraid I wouldn`t have the patience to do all the tweaking and suchlike but do appreciate how perfect they look.
I always think of Hywel when I see pics of all the cacti, the do not touch sign amused me as well, I try and steer clear of mine when dusting as they do have a habit of fighting back, lol. Thankyou for sharing..

Wow .... I've never been overly fond of dahlias, for some totally unknown reason, but I had a lovely one growing in my previous home & have decided to have some in my new garden. There are certainly some beautiful varieties around. Some of the arrangements are wonderful too. We have an annual flower show in the small rural town I live in, & a bigger Rose show in the next little town down the highway .. I will definitely try to get to them both ... if only so that I can have some pics to put up! lol
