Hi all it’s been a sad week, my 14 year old iguana died on bank holiday Monday. Seems all my gardening projects have stopped I just can’t get motivated hopefully I will move on soon! I think the only way forward it to get a new pet.

I'm sorry to hear about Spike. Our pets become part of the family, and there's a big gap when we loose them.
Yes I'd get another pet. Nothing will replace Spike, but pets enrich our lives :o)

I'm really sorry Cazz, our pets become part of the family and we all feel it when they go, Spike was with you for a long time, you'll never replace him but having a new pet will give you something to focus on and help you in the sad moments, soon you'll be remembering the happy times you had with Spike and therefore think of him with a smile........ The garden will wait until you get your mojo back again.....

So sorry to hear about Spike. No other pet can replace him, but another pet will help ease the heartache and keep you occupied especially if you get a 'baby'.

A sad time for you Cazz - Spike will forever be in your memory. It's always sad to hear of the loss of a well loved pet.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I will get a new baby iguana and you can all watch him/her grow up. Taking time off work this week to go find one.

Its always sad to lose a pet, getting a replacement helped us after our 18 year old cat died and this one has been just as loved over the past 13 years.
