Beautiful Afternoon

Hi all, what a lovely day!

I spent 5 hours pottering about outside today, potting on, moving stuff about, sitting down every now and then to get my breath back!

I was going to take some pics but I decided to do it tomorrow, I just need a sit down now with a glass of vino and GOY!

The OH is off work tomorrow so he can look after my brother and I can have some ‘me’ time

Hairdressers and nail bar !! :)))

Oh! and its market so I might visit the plant stall! ;)

Kf, I cant work as i care for my brother full-time, not 'lucky me', before that I looked after my f-in-law in my home who had dementia.

My gardenin is my 'escapism' if you like, a time for me to be by myself doing what i love :)

Yes your garden is theraputic.

Can your brother be out in the garden with you to sit and enjoy.

As you no my Mum had Dementia .

A sad sad illness.

Enjoy your bit of pamering me time tomorrow.

Me time is great isn't it? I've not had any personal experience of being a career but my friend cares for her mother so I appreciate all that carers do. X

Thanks Kath,
Caring for someone with dementia is the most stressful thing I have ever done and I had no help other than my OH and daughter occasionally, he refused to go to daycare and my health suffered, he passed away last April aged 90 and to be honest was a blessing in disguise, as for my brother, no he'd rather stay indoors and watch TV!

Scottish, thank you for your kind comments :)

now I wonder is it a safe bet that the plant stall will get a visit lol :)

Dementia is such a thief it steals your loved one from you
it is so sad.. my Dad had Alzheimers so know how it is ..

You are a very special person looking after your brother. It's a difficult thing to do, being a full time carer. I've done it aswell.
So I'm glad you can enjoy your garden aswell. It helps in difficult times.
Nice to hear you've had a pleasant and productive day :o)
