My lovely OH dug this Phormium up for me, it was a bit of a mission as its about 4 or 5 yrs old. It also looked half-dead after the Winter but after removing a lot of brown leaves it looks ok :)

I'm not sure Hywel, the new beds aren't going to be very big and this was a whopper before I cut it back!

I'm sure you could continue to grow it in a container Hywell, if it's got sufficient root room. Then when all the work's done you could position it to it's best advantage :)

Thanks Waddy, i think I will, it may stop it growing so big and also I can move it around if I want too
