I don’t know if any of you saw this last night,as they aren’t to everyone’s taste..but I like them..
They were back in our local villages, after two years, filming a follow up on how the Meals on wheels project, for the elderly, is progressing,by all the Volunteers..
Glad to see it is doing so well, and has now been extended to include the village of Golcar, where my daughter lives.

The original village of Slaithwaite is where I was born, and the second one of Marsden is my OH’s birthplace..which incidentally,is where the Wallaby,“our Betty” was visiting the pub :o)
Lovely to see all the lovely scenery, where we do a lot of walking..and seeing Yorkshire folk all pulling together for their Communities….as we do . mainly :o)
Probably available on I player,if you want to take a look at our area..x

Hi Bloomer, Hope you're well, yes I saw The Hairy Bikers, and recognised quite a few faces too! It's the good old Yorkshire spirit shinning through once again. But what else would you expect from folk who live in 'God's own county'?
I've also been watching Master Chef. I think JS Porter will loose out to Ade...can't wait for the final tonight

I don't ever watch them Bloomer, but now I'm going to see if I can get them on Catchup, just for the scenery & Yorkshire gungho.

It wasn't so much about the cooking ,Hywel, more about what to prepare, and more about the Community spirit, which abounds around here..I hope you manage to take a look at our area :o)

I saw it Sandra , it's a wonderful thing to be doing and very much appreciated by those who need it I wish I had know it was filmed around your old haunts I would have taken more notice of the scenery, and the master chef it was the first time i'd seen that I have to say like you I'm warming to JP I didn't think I would ever say that !

Im glad you saw it,Amy,and apologies for not posting earlier about it being on..I meant to,but totally forgot till it started..!I do like Masterchef, and I'm the same about JSP..I can't usually stand her..she is still a bit stroppy, but can stand up to any comments thrown at her :o)

I had forgotten about it tonight and only watched the last 10 mins just long enough to see Ade win , he really can cook can't he ,in fact I was very impressed with all their cooking .. I thought people like that spent all their time eating in restaurants !
I hope you and Russell have a smashing holiday Sandra , I expect you to keep control of Carole as per usual Lol xx

Gods own country...ha! ...I'll tell you what though Sandra, my OH has never lost his Sheffield accent, strong as ever ...he was always very proud of it. He may enjoy seeing the HB's too:-))

I was quite pleased when Ade won too.,Amy....such a likeable guy,I think, and yes I will do my best with Carole..but then again, she has to deal with me too ! Lol..we are all really looking forward to another holiday together :o)
.............
Definitely Ba ! best place ever :o) I lost my accent for a number of years, and adopted a Cumbrian one,but once back here,it was if I'd never left..and proud of it .We have a Yorkshire dialect society ,to ensure it isn't lost, although it isn't as broad these days, now a generation has gone.
........
I hope you enjoy it Holly,lovely Countryside..but I'm biased :o)
