Feeling Fed Up of this incessant RAIN!!!

Hello everyone i dont know how your all feeling? …but im just about cheesed orfff with this weather….just WHEN will it stop!!!!???
Was stood looking at my poor waterlogged garden and plants reminiscing about how it looked last year and wondering how such a mess could have looked so pretty with all the bumble and bee buzzing and wonderful flutterby and dragonfly visits.
So wish it was’nt sooo squishy underfoot ….its impossible to feel inspired. Saying that i did watch a gardening program last week with Carole Klien and felt a little less despondant she showed pictures of her garden now and back in the height of summer and i must say it made me feel less of a failure to see her garden looking sad too!
This gave me an idea do the members have a section here on Winter garden pics then the same photoshot taken in the Summer…..it would be a nice reminder of whats to come …..especially for S A D syndrome me :(

Thanks snoopy & marybells - was really pleased with the result as i like to grow everything from seed, its such a thrill seeing such small seeds turn into tiny seedlings that then burst into flower-Mother natures incredible isn't she :)

I'm fed up with so much rain too, but I am grateful it isn't snow !
It won't be long before the spring. The days are starting to lengthen already
but for now it's hibernation time :o)

I agree, we are all looking forward to the time the ground is diggable again. Lots of members do posts of their gardens as the year goes by, BeeH - try choosing one member and looking back through their blogs. Hywel for example has some very attractive pics in all the seasons. Most of us just pick out something colourful in winter, to cheer ourselves up.

My getupandgo does do a bunk now and again at this time of the year but a session in the garden or g'house even if it only lasts a little while does me a power of good and gets me through, have to admit the wet is getting me down but theres so many folk suffering because of it that I have to be thankful its not me..
If you have time to browse through goy you will find most of us have done the same shots through the seasons....

Thank you LL for your reply- yes as you say we are very fortunate not to have suffered as so many have this year.... hmmm!!! methinks a "shame on me moment" for being such a whinger ...does put it in perspective eh!
Have had a nice spell early this morning in me WICF and potted on some aquilegias....mind you another pot thats labelled WaitnSee ha ha as the labels run in this damp weather....once again proving that gardnings all about lovely surprises :)
Yes i have enjoyed lots of the pics & reading the super blogs too....adding many of them to my favs ....see my addictive nature is already in force! :0)

The rain hasn't been too bad here in Cheshire and I've been able to enjoy some lovely sunny walks in the countryside. Yes it's a bit muddy but so long as I go prepared it's like spring out there! It's been so mild this winter I'm loving it! No snow and very few frosts, so I'll forgive the rain, I'd rather have it like this than very cold.

Hi Louisa15 glad you've enjoyed less inclement weather :)
living in the hills here we get a very turbulent time weather wise- just this afternoon we had the most terrific hail storm...and gales a plenty- hmmm!! Im not too sure about lack of cold snowy days when ya struggling to keep ya hat on & yr dog from heading skywards.... i feel like Dorethy & Toto some days ha ha!!
Saying that is now 5 oclock and still light joy of joys...so must grumble eh!
