i’ve always loved gardening, espically vegetables, i get great pleasure from seeing all my hard work come to a time when all my veg are ready to be picked and eaten fresh from the ground. there’s nothing like going out there and having fresh organic veg of your own, its a great past-time as well. i could give hours in the garden! myself and my neighbiur and friend steff are currently using the polytunnel that we have the use of for the summer at the droichead family resource centre here in callan.here we’ve tomatoes growing,and earlier on we had a variety of seedlings that are now planted out, eg. three varieties of lettuce, scallions, courgettes etc etc.. we supply the childcare facility with whatever we can, no charge, this is voluntry as we si,ply enjoy doing it.
