... it seems your plants have been visited by the One Eyed One Horned Flying Purple People Eater ;o)

Terry my white ones have lasted ages, which really pleased me as they were new this year, they have done exactly the same thing as yours and now all have a pink tinge...

It must be old age creeping on them. I know how they feel ;o)

Exactly the same here! Old age AND pink chrysanthemums, I mean!

It seems a very busy little fairy as the same thing has happened to mine :)

This old age, have to say i know how they feel aswell LOL

All my white Chrysanthemums have gone pink when i have had them.

I prefered them white, but came round to the idea of my petals progressively going pink.

Nothing to worry about though.

as the flowers age they produce reddy pigments similar to autumn leaf tints. some varieties do it more than others.
The fairy idea is ncer than the biology.

Well thanks everyone - it's quite a relief to know that my vision isn't going funny after all. I'd even thought that those pink flowers next to them had perhaps run in the rain with the ensuing result of the unintentional tie-dyed splodges of pink on a machine washed white t-shirt ....
