The "SuperMoon" on March 19th...(better late than never!)

So after days and days so super clear skies, March 19 dawned cloudy and threatening rain. I couldn’t believe it!! I was going to miss the SuperMoon…all because of the clouds!

In the end I took a series of pictures with my digital camera, and some came out very well..proving that perseverance wins every time! Here are the best of the lot:

Moon rising over the city and among the clouds:

And did I mention my hand was shaky and it was windy?? But you can see how bright the moon was that it lit up the sky behind the clouds…

Nature took pity on me and wind, hand, camera and clouds all became aligned and this picture came out:

Anyone who had a telescope that night had quite a treat! The next one is a picture I took standing on my balcony, the moon looks like a small sun:

And here another shot of the moon peeking through the clouds:

And looking like an egg sunny-side up, sometimes I think the cloudiness of the sky highlighted (when you could see it) how insanely bright the moon was:

The moon is repeated several times, because my hand shook, and it almost looks like a planet in formation:

And here in all its splendor (“luna, quiero luna llena…”):

And that was SuperMoon!
