A lovely selection there PP, do hope it's dry for you tomorrow, I had to resist today as my greenhouse is bursting at the seams all waiting to be planted out....

19 Apr, 2012

Lovely choices there Pansy. I particularly like that Phlox, love the way the petals are white on the top and pink underneath

19 Apr, 2012

That's the one I like best, too. But what a great day you've had. I can tell from here how much you enjoyed that!

19 Apr, 2012

Lovely selection there!

Nothing like a bit of retail therapy for turning the blues away and it looks as if you`ve managed it in spades, a really good choice of plants, its given me the buying blues Carole but got to save my pennies for Malvern show.

19 Apr, 2012

I also have Zalus..... scented phlox, My girls called it the Zazu plant [lion king was all the rage when i bought it.] It is quite a spreading plant so make sure she has lots of room. I adore her scent sherbty.
The plants are gorgeous but the Lychnis looks more like Armeria maritima, thrift/sea pink, But I ay well be wrong.

Love the alpine penstemmons, on the look out ofr the rockery.

19 Apr, 2012

Lovely selection Pansy, I bought that Phlox last year and its doing marvellously and so pretty, mine is also near the pond, I hope we can all go gardening soon before the wallets dry out.....

19 Apr, 2012

Thanks Carol, Stripes Sheilar, Oji, Nana,Stroller,Sea Burn, and Lincs Lass, it has done me good but hope it doesnt become a habit or we will be bankrupt!
The Phlox is my favourite so good to hear that she performs as good as she looks, Seaburn and Linslass will make sure she has plenty of room and have a look at yours, I know what you mean about the Lychnis It is very similar looking to Thrift but I have Googled it and it is Lychnis, when it gets going I will take a picture and we can compare;0)

Great buys there Pansypotter, sounds like it turned into a good day for you.

Smashing choice of plants Pp....I love the night scented
phlox...I sent away for it last year, twice and both times it arrived black and mouldy.....I wonder if its hard from seed....

Ooh what a lovely lot Carole ,you have chosen well a good assortment for the whole of the summer ,I like the sound of the Night scented stock it's much prettier than the tall straggly ones .. I hope Harry was treated to a cuppa and cake for taking control of the trolly :o))

20 Apr, 2012

I have only posted two comments this morning..both of them wrong ! Sorry,Carole..I meant Sisyrinchium, not Lysymachia..and the other mistake was on Questions..I referred to Scotsgan as Scotkat..oops ! I think all the water has got to my brain ! Lol.

20 Apr, 2012

Thanks Olive it was a good day always enjoy spending money especially on plants!

Thanks Motinot what a shame about the ones you sent away for, I havent seen the pholx before and just couldnt resist it; let me know if you do try it from seed I

22 Apr, 2012

Yes I do remember it Sandra, does you good to get out!, We have had Simon ,Clare and her children this afternon , Simon and Clare on a high at the start of their walking holiday tomorow, they brought us a bottle of South African Wine a present from Rosies owners for our walks with her , very nice it was too lol;0)

22 Apr, 2012

It would be nice to have their company,Carole..hope the weather is better for them this week..I'm sure it won't deter them,as they seem to enjoy it,whatever the weather....That was a nice thought ,for looking after Rosie..I think you should get it on prescription,to be taken after meals, three times a day ! Lol

23 Apr, 2012

Will ask the Doc when I go back for a check next week Im sure he wont mind adding it to my prescription especially when I tell him how well I felt after drinking it lol
