I have had a great day, the sun has been shining and I was filled with an inspiration taken from Irish, Thank you Irish :)
I hope you all like it, I love it lol, not sure if it’s in it rightful place yet :)
Picked up the basket for a fiver. which I thought was far more attractive than a pot for this shrub and far less money :)
It’s the same size as the wash tub and I think equally as beautiful, I hope that doesn’t sound too presumptuous. My thanks to Irish :) I couldn’t wait to plant it up.

The shrub is Cytisus ‘Golden Tears’ let hope it doesn’t end in them lol
This shrub will not get any taller and will come back year after year, that’s why I thought it would be perfect for this basket.

Love it, Littledove.
The beauty of planting in containers is that they can be moved around to better suit the plant or the eye :-)

Very attractive! I like Cytisus-es. (Sorry, don't know the plural! lol) However,I am feeling green with envy at your sunshine, as we have had rain ALL day. And yesterday too and the forecast is more...and more...until Thursday! I shall be waiting with baited breath. Oh well, it will have watered the garden well..

The weather here has turned like yours Spritz :( I was hoping to visit the carboot to see what I can find to use as pots. Will have to wait til next sunday now.
But at least I have my wee ray of sunshine in my garden :)

Thats what I love about container gardening Xela it can be so flexible, this plant thou needs to stay on the right of the garden as it like's full sun, the left side is shady.
If you know of any plants that will flower & enjoy the shade let me know as I need plenty on that side :)

Hay love the idea of wellie boots with lobelia, that's next on my list of things to do :)
I ended up going to the car-boot in the end as the rain stopped, couldn't resist lol, I picked up an old bicycle basket and an old milk bucket, I have never seen one of these before, I will take photo soon :)

If I see another one I'll post it off to you :) I enjoy strolling around them & chatting to anyone & everyone, the boot sale I go to is only about 10 mins walk from me, so it's great to be able to leave the car at home, which also helps me not to spend too much money, as I can't carry it all home lol
