RUFFLED FEATHERS

I have a small number of collared doves who visit the garden daily (except on the day of the RSPB Birdwatch!) They have become much bolder and now seem to completely ignore me and my camera – or maybe they don’t!!

Cheeky little rascal – he’ll be asking for milk on his cereal next :)

Really good photos.
The collared doves which started building a nest in my garden a week or so ago, have not surprisingly given up during this snowy weather.
I hope they return.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments. Tortoises are all awake and eating me out of house and home, Jacque! (see blog Reunited). I will be very glad when the spring/summer weather is here and they can go into the garden - tortoises can be very messy!

Gee - how did you get the large print on the blog?? Did you somehow print it on the photos?? I'm puzzled. Looks good, though!

Hi Spritz - I insert the photos into Powerpoint and then insert a text box - think I used font size 36 on this set. You have to remember to save the series as a JPEG file interchange format rather than a Powerpoint file. You then have the option of exporting just one slide or all of them. Powerpoint numbers them individually so they're easy to link into the blog. Hope this explanation is clear - I'm never very good at explaining things!

I finally saw two doves eating my birdseed! I only knew they were doves because they look just like your pictures...=)

They look great but they're greedy little devils(or big devils)The other birds don't get a look in when I fill the bird table and ground feeders!
