Thanks Tony ... Crocus sends tweets to Tiny..

Looks like you've been able to give those seedlings plenty of light. Great results.

Well, haven't you done well, Tony and the tomatoes were not from a seed packet then , but a tomato ! Is that right ?

Hi Terra Tiny thanks crocus for tweets . On close inspection Terra I decided due to all tomatoes being leggy I had to dispose of the 8 seedlings. I have already sown another 12 seed,s in the greenhouse but this time I will not apply heat. I checked my propagator several times ea day but the heat just germinated them to quickly. Take care Tony

hi rose Had to dispose of tom seedlings ( far to leggy) but have put a dozen more seeds down to day. Not using heat this time. Yes I picked a tip up on how to take seed from tomatoes and prepair them for sowing from our local news paper. Took the seeds in march after a beautyful salad I may take more later this year if the new seeds mature. Heat and light was,nt right for the first batch but they did germinate so that's proof they were good seeds. Take care Tony

Oh thats a shame Tony, but if you had put the seedlings very low down into a deeper pot , they would have been ok. I've done this before and it works. As long as the seedling leaf is level with the soil. I know its too late now, but if it happens again, don't throw them out !!!

It is,nt leggy either. Hope all is ok with Elizabeth and family rose. my biccy stock however appears to be in excellent condition since Elizabeth went awol (LoL). Take care Rose Tony
