Propagator awaiting seeds, Greenhouse cleaned and tidy. All systems checked for March projects. This year i hope to get my plants off to a good start. Its been very cold here of late but on odd days its been quite warm. Very unpredictable but i hope march proves more stable conditions. Blue tits , Robins , house sparrows, Raiding the feeders frequentley and the grease ball container is always in use. Logged the feeding time most birds came between 11-30am @ 12-00pm. Around 20 at that time. It seems they form a line on the fence before diving to eat,and they even drop crumbs to the ground for others. Very orderley really infact not a bit like Morrisons or Tesco,s where one,s trolley can be a target at the till approach (LoL). Take care all Tony

You've done well, Snoopdog. Can't dig my patch, it's far too wet and sticky(we have heavy clay) but my seeds are on order and likeyou Tony, my propagators and potting shed are tidied, clean and ready to go.I just hope it's a brighter spring this year. The light levels were so poor last year that it was a struggle to get anything to germinate and grow on strongly!......fingers crossed!!

Raring to go here as well Tony, if you are interested its coming up to the RSPB Big Birdwatch. Its the last weekend of the month, you will find all the details on the web, mind you I am not telling the birds as they have a nasty habit of going on holiday when I am doing my count...

I am actually working outside now, a shock to the system after being on that sofa! Hahaa! We have had some lovely sunny days here, Tony and it really makes you feel better after all the dark damp days. I have a problem this year as my hubby insisted on us going away for 4 WEEKS instead of the usual 2 in May and 2 in September, if we're lucky. According to hubby, it will work out cheaper as there will only be 2 flights instead of 4 to pay for! I have never wanted to leave the garden this length of time, but he has always gone when I've wanted to go , so this year, its his turn! So, what to do about my garden, allotments and toms and cucumber in the green house! Not to mention all the strawberries that will be ready for eating in June! The birds are going to have a field day!

Can it really be a year since the last Big Bird Watch? where did the months go (apart from being washed away...) Rose, lets hope you have some good neighbours!
tony, you sound very organised. I didn't get my autumn work done as I was ill, so there's lots to do now. Wasn't it a treat to have a really nice day to get started in?

Hi steragram Yes great day to get out but today its very cold and damp here now. Bird population continues to expand around my feeders, but they must be feeling the cold and need extra food to endure it so i am afraid gardening chores have to stand down. New seed and grease ball,s already prepaired for to morrow. Six feeders and all low on stock, i filled them all last monday. Take care Tony.

Thanks Steragram, I have a very good gardening friend who waters , brings the post in and feeds the cats who have their own little home inside, but in the garden.

HI Rose Think we have your Snow Rose. Sending it back asap (LoL). Hope the snow moves tomorrow i have a lot of driving to do for the familey. Quite a lot of people here down with flue. I have a tendancy to go where angels fear to tread. But my rabbits foot on the dash will protect me (LoL). Take care Rose Tony
