Geranium Nigrescens

I have the above plant in a dark area in a border protected by large shrubs, where it has grown reasonably well over the past two years, however it is not shown at its best and I would like to move it.

As the label does not show what areas (partial or full sun) it likes I am reluctant to move it to a sunny dry rockery although this would be the ideal place to show it at its best. I see from previous blogs that it is a native of New Zealand.

Would it be ok to move it to the rockery and I assume sooner rather than later?
