HI,
I'm an 63 and been an active keen gardener flowers and
veg. from childhood.
My wife and I have a "normal" small south facing front garden
and a reasonable rear garden which slopes away from the house. It is north facing though sheltered by high lattice fencing down the sides and a neighbors high hedge and 2 trees to the north. It has 2 small ponds and generally wild
life gardening is practiced.
We have 50 x 50 foot allotment by Aberdeen harbor entrance,
mainly veg.
