Where did the day go?

Well today was always going to a busy one and thought I would’ve got more done but that didn’t happen.
The girls went into town which left me to my own devices and no interuptions. Didn’t even log on here 1st as I would’ve lost an hour there. lol
So list of things to do was as follows.
1. Shower and mow lawn
2. Put up Mia’s pool & fill it
3. Paint fence
4. Pick girls up and go to nusery and Mr Tesco’s
5. Come back and plant new flowers
6. Sit back and admire and maybe have a BBQ

So had a shower then cut the lawn before it got to hot and it was getting hot even at 9am. Lawn cut, edges trimmed, mower, stimmer & edging sheers cleaned & put away. 1 job done.
Next on the agenda was to put up Mia’s new pool and fill it so it was ready for her when she got back and hopefully sun to warm the water up a bit. Took longer than expected to fill as it is quite big but got it done just as Gina called to say she was ready to be picked up. The fence will have to wait! lol
Went to collect girls and then went to Nusery to get last lot of plants to finish the back where ivy was. Also Gina hadn’t been there and thought she’d like it and she did. Well £35 & 90mins later we had a boot full of new Perrinal plants. 2 new clematis’s, 4 perrinals, foxglove, 3 more Begonia’s that gina loved the colour of & 4 little fuchsia’s.
Will list later as all the tags are outside at the mo.
Next job was to pop to Mr Tesco’s to get wall bracket for plasma as there the cheapest by far. £35 for large advanced tilting. Why we was in there thought we get some food and have a BBQ with our neighbour.
Got home put plants on the patio and watered them then done a bit of tidying up ready for BBQ. Looked at the time and it was coming up for 6. Well our neighbour was coming round at 6 so no time to do any planting as had to fire up the BBQ.
Had a lovely evening and just can’t believe where the day has gone. REALLY wanted to get that fence painted today aswell as heavy rain forcasted for tomorrow so no chance of doing it. Guess i’ll play it by ear as really want to paint fence before putting in new plants as wont be a lot of room.
If it pees it down then i’ll be putting up the wall bracket I guess and then sort the shed out. lol

All the plants bought today & ready to be planted

1 of my new Clematis which we think may be a Warszawska Nike. Got 7 buds and looks so healthy. Will take a better pic tomorrow when planted

Never mind Steve ... you still got an awful lot done in that time!!
The thing is with barbies you have to do them when the weather is right & everything else can wait!!
Hope the forecasters have got it wrong again for tomorrow! :o))

You aint wrong Fluff. Takes at least half hour to warm up and ready for cooking and there was dark clouds on the way but it held off. Still warm out there though! Hope they have got it wrong aswell. Don't mind the odd shower as the fence life drys really quick so might get away with it. We'll see! lol

We both love Fuchsia's and our fav perinial. She got them from wilkinson. 4 for £5. Lovely colours so see how they turn out. If they don't then only £1.25 per plant wasted. Just hope the rain holds of though as that fence is priority. Plants are fine in there pots. I'm going to give them a dose of miracle-gro aswell. Also got that from wilko's. £2.97 for 1Kilo. Thats nearly half the price most people charge. You might want to get some in whilst its on a special!

Hi Steve. Had same problem myself last few days. Instead of me talking to the plants, they're talking to me to get them planted. lol. I did manage a couple of Gazania and Dianthus yesterday, after they'd been sat on patio table for two days. lol. Nice selection you have. Looks like you have a coral coloured begonia from the pic. Stunning! I love Begonias.

Thx Linda. They are called illumination Apricot, Salmon & Apple Blossom. All non stop so will keep flowering till 1st frost which is great. Yes i'm a fan of begonia's after seeing Yorkshire's hanging baskets full of these. Went out and bought 2 and then got 3 more today. Shame there not perinal but to be honest these were £1.75 each and long as you keep deheading they'll keep flowering. Bargain if you ask me
