Not been on much lately my mother has just had a knee replacement so been busy looking after dad and sorting stuff out for when she came home. She had it done on the 29 th April and came home on the 3rd of May her 83rd birthday, she is amazing walking with 2 sticks already and although in pain she is doing well her generation are amazing its a case of ‘well i’ll just get on with it’!! There seems to be no help either she was sent home with a huge bag of pills 2 sticks and a leaflet on excercises to do. The occupational health nurse rang her up yesterday she was supposed to see her in hospital but never went, (mind you she may be the only one for all we know) mum had had to measure everything before she went in from the height of the toilet to the height of her chairs, she is finding the toilet the worst thing as its quite low but cannot have anything like a toilet seat as she hasn’t had a hip replacement, apparently you get nothing for a knee replacement even at the age of 83. I am not complaining about the treatment she had whilst in hospital they were great but surely she could have a toilet seat!!! Not much to ask after a lifetime of working hard and paying taxes and N.I.

On a gardening note now i have got that off my chest! I got some more plants this morning some double Petunia..Priscilla, i think there is one more parcel to come a rose with a free pair of secatuers! I am not doing as many this year as i have had a rough time lately with the Menieres so am keeping things simple…well trying to curb my enthusiasm for plants!!!! (its not working very well lol)

These are nicotina seedlings i saved some seed from last year,
The cupids dart plants i bought are coming on i need to get them in the border.

The lillies are coming on a treat now, looking forward to the flowers :)

A good quality raised tiolet is available to buy from as little as £18.95. Sewingkilla. One of the reasons they were removed from most supply lists several years ago was because they are so cheap to buy? Take care and try not to over do it yourself!

Lovely photos and hope your mum is on the mend soon, know quite a few people who have had hips and knees done, and after a while can move quicker than me.

My best wishes to your Mum for a speedy recovery from her Op! Your plants are all looking healthy and you have lots of Nicotina to plant out. I have resolved to only sow half packets of seeds next year as they all seem to flourish and I am running out of space!
