I don't think there is an easy way of getting rid of a Bamboo, silly me I have 4 of them, worst plant I ever got and I too am trying to get rid of mine, I've been toying with the idea of getting a mini digger in thats if it will go down our side way, hope you find a solution to get rid of yours, Good Luck & Hope someone can hep you.

You could try spraying the leaves with a glyphosate weed killer. They would then take a long time to rot down.

thanks guys...I usually saw as close to the ground as I can and put straight '360' down the stems...works faster and more effectively than just spraying the leaves...I've decided to build 3 rockeries around and over what I can't get out the ground..:-)
